Original artwork :”Candy Apple Drop” is an original high texture abstract oil painting measuring 11 x 14 inches on a canvas panel, matted to a frame size of 16 x 20 and painted using professional grade oil paint. The painting is sealed with a final coat of gloss varnish for protection.Ready to frame, standard size 16 x 20 inches.Signed on the mat. Titled, signed and dated on the back. The Inspiration: Much of my work plays on the elements of texture and movement, pieces like “Candy Apple Drop” specifically emphasize the textural elements that naturally come along with oil paintings. Using only one firm-bristled brush, each brush stroke retains its shape and texture. Regardless of color, the process is very therapeutic for me; I can work on these paintings when I have a lot on my mind and need to think or when I need to escape. It’s easy to get lost in the repetitive motion of each brush stroke – they’re uniform but chaotic. “My hope is not to be seen, but to be experienced. With each new piece I share a little part of myself and look forward to the day it makes a connection with another.” -Meredith B.Materials used:Oil PaintTags:#red abstract #red oil #minimal abstract #high texture #red pink #ombre #meredith b
